How long does it take to do WordPress website updates?
The time it takes to update a WordPress website depends on how extensive your site is. That’s one of the reasons why, from an SEO point of view, I recommend simple websites with a minimal number of plugins. If you’ve had multiple web designers, add their favourite plugins; you might have a site with too many plugins, some that don’t get used.
An average WordPress website with about 10 plugins takes about 15 minutes to update.
If a Core WordPress update is required and or a PHP website update is needed, then a site backup should be created and downloaded before important updates are done. This all takes time, including admin, such as billing, which I insist is prepaid. Sam or Lily is not going to waste time chasing debtors. If you have another option for site updates, good, but it needs to be done.
Some people say they don’t need site updates until they do, like when their site crashes or gets hacked. Don’t be one of those people.
