Why is page load speed an important search engine ranking signal?
Page load speed performance is part of Google’s assesment of user experience (UX). Google wants to deliver pages to its users that load quickly and don’t suffer from other UX issues such as layer shift movement. (It’s a poor UX when you go to click on something and the split second before you click it moves and you click the wrong thing). I can fix that too.
What is a free online tool for testing page load speed? A good comprehensive free online tool for testing page load speed performance that also provides fix tips is Google’s PageSpeed Insights.
Who improves page load speed in Perth?
Improving page load speed is usually beyond the scope of web designers. In a perfect world web owners would start their web development project with my keyword research and lightweight WordPress themes however most web owners are wowwed by beautiful web designs with many bells and whistles and not my web design brief. So who improves page speed? I do, so do test your page load speed performance and contact me if it’s below 80%.
